Over the summer we created a bucket list of activities we would like to get done. The list was then printed and kept on the fridge as a reminder for me and a good way for the children to pick activities when they were bored. Because the idea worked so well I have decided to do them for each season or festival which is important in our house. So here we go, I hope you find these idea useful too.
- Leaf art- designing patterns on the leafs
- Leaf sun catchers
- Add to the Autumn discovery bottles collection
- Carve a family of pumpkins
- Decorate the porch for Halloween
- Make an Autumn tree display indoors
- Make Autumn mobiles
- Use coffee filter paper and water colours to make a leaf display
- Rolling conker art
- Put garden to sleep
- Make homes for the mini beast in the garden
- Plant sweet peas ready for next year
- Bake pumpkin pie
- Create a Autumn discovery basket
- Take dried food products to the old peoples home
- Make animal collages out of leaves
- Make our own jar lanterns
- Make acorn people
- Create a Autumn fairy home
- Play in the fallen leaves
- Make toffee apples
- Make bonfire candy
- Use twigs and branches for construction
- Make slime
- Apple bobbing
- Make a guy for the bonfire
- Buy and use a salad spinner for fire work pictures!!
- Bake pumpkin seeds for snacks at school
- Dry pumpkin seeds for next year in the garden
- Read Autumn books with marshmallows and hot chocolate.
Awesome idea. I have a list of what we'd like to do over winter, but hadn't thought of properly organising it like this, and now we need to get an autumn list for sure.
ReplyDeleteoooh brilliant list! I want to make toffee apples and candy too.
ReplyDeleteI find listing it like this helps me stay a little organised Mama Dragon. I'm terribly disorganised so any thing helps :0)
ReplyDeleteI had never thought about doing them before Emma but when my sister in law got back from america she gave me the idea. Apparently they are every where over there.
Fabulous Bucket List. So many different ideas.
