Our Bucket List for a Cosy Winter

When you think of Winter what is the first thought that goes through your head? Yes its often the bad weather and rain we experience here in England and we do love to have a good moan about the snow but after that? My mind wonders to thoughts of cosying up of the sofas playing games with my family while enjoying a warm hot choccy on a Sunday afternoon. I really don't mind the winter as long as I can stayed wrapped up warm indoors!!

I recently got thinking that maybe I should make a bucket list for the days we wish to stay home and spend it together for some quality time. Here is some of the idea's I have come up with so far:

  • Make and decorate gingerbread men,
  • Watch the Grinch,
  • Make our own reindeer food,
  • Make a bird feeder,
  • Read winter stories,
  • Write to santa,
  • Bake gifts for the family,
  • Decorate our own stockings,
  • Make a winter table decoration together,
  • Roast Chestnuts,
  • Sing Christmas carols,
  • Decorate Christmas tree with a frosty feel this year
  • Take Christmas pictures for Christmas cards
  • Make our own baulbles
  • Make our own winter board game
  • Bake snickerdoodles
  • play with a winter tuff spot/ sensory bin
  • Watch Christmas movies
  • Make our own gift wrap
  • Make dry fruit slices (orange, apples etc.) and use to make a wreath
I also have a few ideas for spending time outdoors together

  • Build a snow fort
  • Go sledding on a big hill
  • Go to a Christmas market for some special gifts
  • Look for out door decorations
  • Make ice marbles
  • Go to the church for Christingle
  • Have a snow ball fight
I'm so excited this year for winter to begin and to make some amazing memories with the family and you can follow our family adventures on our Instagram feed or here on the blog.
