Planning a Family Break

sponsored post

I recently posted about our plan's for next year with regards to holidays. We want to plan a couple of short weekend breaks, staying some where other than a holiday park so that we can show the children more of the UK.

You might think breaks like this are easy to plan, you only need 1 or 2 night accommodation and it doesn't need to be any thing special right? For us it can be difficult. Tinnie will just be a year old and the older two can be very loud, by loud I mean louder than most children and they listen to me when they need speak quietly. Things like this cause me to become high strung. I spend my time panicking over their behaviour and Tinnies route being out so the holiday is then less enjoyable.

So this is my family check list for what I'm looking for when booking these breaks:

* Eating facilities which are child friendly. There's nothing worse than sitting in a restaurant constantly panicking about the noise the children make or the mess Tinnie might make.

* Some activities to fill a gap. If it's going to rain or Tinnie needs a nap. It always handy to have some thing like a swimming pool to occupy the older children.

*spacious room's. Even if it's just for a short period of time and we only sleep in the hotel rooms and family of five still need space.

*A place that will welcome families. Seeing as we would like to do a lot of walking with the children a hotel that doesn't mind a grubby family would also be ideal. I'm sure a lot

I'll let you know how I get on with our search during the summer. What do you look for when booking for a family break? Any recommendations.
