While flicking through twitter one day I came across a tweet from Mumsnet-
Fancy taste-testing some choc? Opportunity for a blogger to visit Cadbury world and try new Dairy Milk Pebbles - tweet if you're interested!— Mumsnet Blog Network (@MumsnetBloggers) November 1, 2013
Hard to resist right? I jumped at the chance as I have always wanted to go to Cadbury world and obviously reviewing some chocolate would great too. I was lucky enough to be picked as a blogger to review the Pebbles and within a couple of days they arrived.
This year Cadbury have come up with some great new chocolate including
- Freddo Faces (my children's favourite treat after school on a friday),
- Strawberries & Creme Dairy Milk,
- Marvellous Creations ( these are my favourite at the moment)
- Crunchums,
- New flavours of Cadbury Eclairs
The new Pebbles are described as 'Delicious milk chocolate covered in a crispy shell'. The colouring is 100% natural. They come in yellow, purple and brown which work really well together. They remind me of little squashed egg's and P thought they looked like giant smarties. I can imagine they will be very popular at Easter too.
When we taste tested them we all thought they tasted like Minstrels but with a less crunchy shell which appealed much more to me. The shell also had a matted texture rather than glossy like you would find with Minstrels They are similar to smarties as P described them but with a creamer centre. They make a great snack while watching a family movie at home or the cinema.
We were sent three pack of Pebbles along with our tickets and within a weekend they were gone. Definitely a favourite with the family. The are a great moreish snack we had trouble to resist.
