On that way home from school last night we picked up some leaves.
When we got home I immediately got out the paint reds, orange, yellow, brown and green. Lady P took one look at the colors and put them back in the boxes and got out the bright colours. They're boring she said shaking her head and she got work on her master piece.
Oh dear looks like I have started to forget my childcare ways already. Never try and force children to do things the correct colour. Allow them to decide what colour they would like it to be and let them go wild!

The leaf painting is such a good idea, I remember doing this as a little one myself and using the paper as home made wrapping paper.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun autumn activity!
Oh! Your leaf printing is lovely! WE did some earlier in the week and Red Ted ended up doing handprints. Hey ho!
